TSB Theatre, TSB Showplace, New Plymouth

There is no script and no choreography and this performance can only ever happen once. The vision of Sacha Copland, this intriguing creation is unlike anything you’ve seen before, or will ever see again. 42 year old choreographer Sacha Copland and 29 year old Sophie Gargan will talk while dancing for 1 hour. They will try to be honest. Sacha has choreographed 20 full length dance theatre works and performed all over the world. Now she wants to talk and dance. Sophie has been dancing in Melbourne and recently returned home. Sophie and Sacha will try to dance, talk and be honest. “Hi, Im Sophie! I grew up on a goat farm here in Omata, Taranaki. I love many things in life, and dancing is one of them. I moved back to Taranaki in August from Melbourne to enjoy the ocean, rivers and bush. I have been travelling and dancing for the past 8 years, and hope to continue to do so for the next while.” “Hi I’m Sacha. I live with my young nieces in Te Whanganui A Tara and I miss the South Island where I grew up. I have danced in cities with 25 million people, moving buses and in an empty hall in Invercargill. Now I want to dance and talk and try to be honest in New Plymouth with Sophie Gargan.”
